The body has a set point that it wants to be at as far as weight is concerned.
Your body will adjust to being at whatever weight you have been living at for the past 10 years or so. Your body is going to fight you from time to time during weight loss because it wants to gravitate back toward its set point. over time your set point will lower as you keep losing weight.
That is why it is so important to keep at it. It sounds crazy but it is 100% true. Chances are you are doing everything right still but not seeing the same results that you may have had early on in your weight loss. This is where it gets harder.
Keep working hard, raise the intensity and change-up the routines, feel some soreness again, try to get enough sleep and don’t stress. Stress can work against you in many ways. When you are in a little tug of war with your body, You will win if you stay the course.
It’s a long road and a lot of work to move that set point to a healthier weight and keep it there. If you keep at it and never quit the battle, that set point will move and you will love it when it does.
